COUNTER-SHAFT DOME WASHERS
Do you have streaks of oil lines on the face of the counter-shaft sprocket?
Over time the stock spring dome washer looses tension and flattens out, this does not allow it to hold pressure on the sprocket. This allows that small O-ring to separate from the face of the bearing race and then there is the oil path. Without a functioning O-ring, the spacer bushing is just a pipe for the oil to run through.
It is recommended whenever changing counter-shaft sprockets to replace the dome washer.
When removed, the Dirt Tricks washer, unlike the OEM washer, returns to its original dome shape. The Dirt Tricks dome washer can be repeatedly re-used. It is extremely hard and tough.
So if you have a counter-shaft oil leak, start by replacing your spring washer with the Dirt Tricks dome washer.
