The Alpinestars Tech-Air(R) 3 is the brand's lightest autonomous airbag system, designed to be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket for touring, urban commuting, and light adventure riding. Its self-contained, low-profile design offers practical protection without restricting comfort or mobility. Developed using millions of kilometers of real-world riding data and thousands of recorded crashes, the Tech-Air(R) 3 crash detection algorithm accurately identifies dangerous situations such as lowside and highside crashes. When a crash is detected, the system deploys the airbag in as little as 50 milliseconds, inflating ahead of impact to help reduce injury during the initial collision. A water-resistant chassis and waterproof electronics allow the system to be worn under most leather or textile jackets, including Tech-Air(R) Ready models, as long as adequate space is available.
